Maria has contracted with CRC Press, a Taylor and Francis Group, to author or edit five book manuscripts for release in 2009.  The Managed Care Contracting Handbook, 2nd Edition will release in February 2009.  The Physician Employment Contract Handbook, 2nd Edition is currently in revision and almost ready fort he copyeditor.
A third book will succeed her IPA, PHO, MSO Development Strategies book on the return to physician integration. A returning trend is underway as is evidenced by calls and emails to her from would be purchasers of the old book, published in 1997. It is out of print and is in need of revision to more closely align with the current trends in this domain. Two other book titles deal with medical tourism and globalization of health care. While there are many directories that showcase providers, there are no titles out there that offer insight on infrastructure of medical tourism program development or techniques and best practices for the facilitator who coordinates the health care and travel for patients going out of their local area for care.  These manuscripts are due in May 2009 for fall 2009 release.
